Nordic Track Treadmill:Designed to Last
The Nordic Track Treadmill is not the first product that comes to mind when you hear the name Nordic Track. Nordic Track became famous almost 25 years ago when they started selling their NordicTrack skier system. These new exercise machines were popping up all over the country. I knew several families who had one when I was growing up.
The secret to their success was their unique implementation of wood skis that glided along with just the right amount of resistance. It made you feel like you really were skiing and it allowed you to tailor the exercise perfectly to suit your fitness level.
Moving into the 90′s, NordicTrack released their first line of treadmills. And ever since they have continued to lead the way, adding new features and advancements. Currently the Nordic Track treadmill runs from around $600 up to more than $3,000, depending on the features that you need.
Nordic Track Treadmill: Commercial
Their top of the line treadmills are designed for commercial customers. These treadmills are designed with very strong frames and much larger motors than their other series. They are intended to be used in gyms and fitness centers, where you have a lot of people using the equipment over time. They need to be rugged and sturdy enough to stand up to constant use.
Nordic Track Treadmill: Elite Series
The next series down from that, is the Elite Series. The Elite Series of Nordic Track treadmills are designed with runners as the primary user. These treadmills come with NordicTrack’s iFit Live connection built into them. The iFit Live connection provides you with your own customized fitness plan and tracks your exercise so that you can view it on your computer. Recently they have introduced a special training program designed by Jillian Michael’s training team, that get’s sent to your machine each day.
Nordic Track Treadmill: C Series
The next series is brand new to their lineup, the C Series treadmill. One of the new innovations with this line is their QuadFlex Cushioning feature. This new design helps to reduce the impact on your joints with an air-based, shock system with an extra long treadbelt. There are four points of cushioning which truly help to protect your body and make it more comfortable. They have also used one of their commercial motors with this system so that you have superior performance at a more economical price.
Nordic Track Treadmill: Incline Series
One of their more unconventional treadmills is their Incline Series. These treadmills will adjust their incline up to 40% with just a single touch of a button. Even Jillian Michaels has said that it’s the fastest and easiest way to burn calories and shed fat. Just like most of the other treadmills, you can use the iFit Live module with this treadmill to get custom workouts and track your progress.
Nordic Track Treadmill: A Series
Moving into the lower priced models, you’ll find the A series a perfect fit for smaller budgets. Also iFit Live compatible, it also comes with 16 workouts that will automatically adjust the incline and speed of your treadmill, focusing on specific goals. It’s a great way to get a great workout. Also I should note that all the treadmills feature a built in sound system so that you can connect just about any mp3 player or iPod.
Nordic Track Treadmill: Reflex Series
And finally the last series available currently is the Reflex Series. The Nordic Track treadmills in this series were designed to absorb up to 42% of the impact on the body when running. The deck responds to your movement and absorbs the impact at the heel and maintains stability at the end where the toe leaves the surface.
Nordic Track Treadmill s have come a long way from the very first implementations. And in today’s tech focused world, they’ve had to adapt and continue to add features that are important to today’s athletes and clients. By adding support for portable music, internet accessibility and tracking, they have ensured that the Nordic Track Treadmill will continue to be at a leader in personal fitness training.
